At Amsterdam - from 29th to 31st of August
On the way back to Scotland after having a long Summer holiday in Japan, I stoped over in Amsterdam. Yeh... I really love this city so much... Liberal minded civilisation with a great history of global market, diplomacy with Japan during the period of Shogunate, the homeland of many celebraty artists such as Lembrandt and Van Gogh, and famous Red-Light-District...
If the weather was better I could draw a sketch beside the canals like I did 2 years ago. The weather on those days I stayed was, unfortunately, rainy periodically and actually cold though summer! So during the day, I visited 3 museums I mostly wanted to observe, House of Lembrandt, National Museum, and Heineken Museum(we can have 3 pints of Heineken after the tour!).
By the way, let's look at the famous picture "Night Watch" drawn by Lembrandt. As you know Lembrandt is my most respectable painter in history of all over the world, I am really happy to observe the real "Night Watch" in Amsterdam National Museum! Of course all of us would be impressed by the technique as a representative art, it is serously real to dscribe objects and humal as though they exist just here as real, but the thing we also should notice symbols and effects to make the picture further more impressive.

My result of "The Could you win the Cold War Test"
You did OK. You scored 62 External and 74 Internal! |
Your economy is decent, but hardly spectacular. You have mainted parity with the US in terms of growth and output, but it has been ofset by a lack of viable trading partners. The USSR is a content country, but hardly an earth shattering one. And few nations have been influenced by your inwardly focused policies. The iron curtain still sits tight, and you have made headway in South America and Africa, yet only a third of the world calls socalism its own, and its not increasing anytime soon. Surrounded by so many US-NATO allies, its difficult to see how communism will survive in the long run. You did well, but not well enough to win the cold war. |
My test tracked 3 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

Kenroku-en January 2006 (Acrylic Ink)
This is a picture of "Kenroku-en" in winter 2006 painted by an acrylic inc. I painted by basing the design of this picture which I drer during the time I was visiting my maternal grand parents in Kanazawa in my winter holiday.
I tried to use an acrylic inc instead of an "aquarelle" which is usually my favourite technique to paint in order to describe the color of this wooden architecture and this frozen lake in the clear air in cold winter days. Acrylic incs look much lighter unlike acrylistic water tubes which look heavier like an oil painting. I reckon this looks sharper and brighter than those I usually paint with an aquarelle.
I will show you a pancil based drawing later day soon! Thanks!

Blog starts!
Hallelujah! At last, a blog of Art&Blue-Liberalism starts! The reason is that nowadays a blog tends to be accessed more than other internet media. Especially, I have realised our international users seem more familiar to a blog according to the relatively lower access of our international visitors. Also, I feel more likely to be obliged to transmit English texts from Japanese point of view as I am only one of a few Japanese individuals well knowing about the most advanced economic and political analysis. This blog side also may indicate the original philosophy of Adam Smith (Right Pic), and not only current economic and political issues but also some Photo and my paintings. Now, I would like to hope you enjoy my documents and arts and keep in touch with me : )

My old memory: Kenroku-En (兼六園), January, 2006.
While taking a glance at a TV screen and the photos posted by friends living in Kanazawa, it reminded me of me drawing and painting Kenroku-en in January, 2006.
